Whether you come to Pedraces in the summer or winter, there is no shortage of opportunities for sports in this sun-kissed land.

In the summer season, the bicycle is the lord and master: the Maratona dles Dolomites, famous all over the world, is a cycling race that includes the most splendid Dolomite passes and which each year, the first Sunday in July, attracts over 6,000 fans.
Every day, hundreds of cyclists try their mettle on these roads which have been the scene of epic moments in the Giro d'Italia.

For those who prefer the thick wheels of the mountain bike, there is plenty to choose from: hundreds of kilometres of unpaved tracks that wind through the peaks of the Dolomites.

And for those who do not like the exertion of cycling? Magnificent walks (including in the trenches from the First World War), rock climbing, horse-riding alone or in a group, tennis or football, para-gliding or hang-gliding... you can pick and choose!

And in the winter? The Alta Badia becomes a Mecca for skiers, thanks to its splendid slopes, which are also the scene of trials for the World Cup of downhill skiing on the Gran Risa.
There are also opportunities for snowboard lovers, who can put themselves to the test on the slopes where Marion Posch and Ivo Rudiferia train, both of whom have already been world champions in the FIS circuit.

Those who like physical exercise will appreciate the cross-country skiing slopes which wind through the valley and where you can bump into the local idol, Maria Canins, every now and again. For the "laziest", there is also the possibility of splendid excursions by horse-drawn sledge....

In short, to each their own.
